Gabriel is my grey and white speckled four year ancient miniature Schnauzer dog. He is soft and cuddly and the best small ball of warmth on frigid winter days. His greatest entertainment is when I sit on the floor and I command him to find a ball. In excitement he starts to jump up and down anticipating my throws, some he catches in midair and others he runs the length of my living room and dining room breathlessly scooping up the ball in his mouth and bringing it back at breakneck speed.

From the moment that Gabriel came into my home he became my small guardian angel. He brought joy into my life and his constant unconditional like warmed my heart and gave me the strength to push ahead no matter how life can pull you down. I guess that’s the reason why, when Gabriel suddenly stops all of his activity and twists his head up and looks mysteriously into the empty air, I know he sees angels.

We live in a world where like is tossed aside for wealth and prestige. Having an unseen spiritual God in our lives becomes one thing we can let go of and not really miss until we are faced with a life changing choice that demands God. Sometimes these moments of faith are inspired by the very animals we like.

Numbers 22: 22-30, “God was mad that Balaam was going, and as Balaam was riding along on his donkey, accompanied by his two servants, the angel of the Lord stood in the road to bar his way. Again Balaam beat the donkey. Once more the angel went ahead; he stood in a narrow place where there was no room at all to pass on either side. This time, when the donkey saw the angel, it lay down. Balaam lost his temper and started to beat the donkey with his stick. Then the Lord gave the donkey the power of speech, and it said to Balaam, ‘What have I done to you? Why have you beaten me these three times?’

Balaam answered, ‘Because you have made a fool of me! If I had a sword, I would kill you.’ The donkey answered, ‘Am I not the same donkey on which you have ridden all your life? Have I ever treated you like this before?’ ‘No,’ he answered.”

Remember the times in your life when you wished you had someone tell you that you were about to make a very huge mistake. Wouldn’t it have been wonderful if God allowed your dog to speak and tell you not to do it? Reckon of all of the wasted time you wouldn’t spend debating inside your head whether or not the largest financial go you were about to make would be the worst possible thing for you to do.

Balaam was a soothsayer, a man who had the ability to interact with evil spirits. Because he was spiritually gifted he also had the same ability that we have today to hear from both evil and excellent spirits. The tale of Balaam and his talking donkey happened because Balaam was given a fantastic job opportunity from a very wealthy King, King Balak.

Balak was an evil king who worshipped idols. During these worship times, human sacrifice and sexual immorality was performed on a regular basis. God, who likes all people, saw how Balak was leading the entire nation of Moab into sin. God chose that the only way to stop this evil from spreading to the Israelites was to completely annihilate Moab from the face of the earth.

Balak had a plot to defeat God’s plot and he knew that he could do this if Balaam would come and place a curse on Israel. A curse is the opposite from blessings. When you follow God you are blessed, but when you follow Satan you are cursed. Being cursed is to be enticed away from God and become blind to how evil can corrupt and ruin your life.

Numbers 22: 6, “They outnumber us, so please come and place a curse on them for me. Then perhaps we will be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land. I know that when you pronounce a blessing, people are blessed, and when you pronounce a curse, they are placed under a curse.”

These verses show how powerful a soothsayer Balaam was in Moab and how much Satan controlled the entire country. The evil King Balak promised Balaam riches beyond measure, but God was not pleased with the how evil the nation had become. Israel was blessed because they chose to follow God and so God was not going to allow Satan to curse them and lead them astray like Moab.

Perhaps you have been in a job dilemma where you would become promoted over a person who had served at the same job you were doing for many years and your conscious tells you to do this would be incorrect. Or maybe you are confronted with a business opportunity, but in order to have the freedom to be self-employed you must lie to a friend in order to get them to help you, all the time knowing that you would never pay back the loan even when your business turns a profit.

Do you know the difference between taking advantage of a friend or stepping on a fellow employee in order to get the better paying salary? These are clear examples of excellent and evil. But in our present day world decisions like these can be clouded over by the desire to have a better life: “I should take the promotion, because I have a family and I need the money. Why should I pay back the money I owe when they already have more money than me?”

This is the very reason why we need the leading of the Holy Spirit. God will condemn us through our conscious, but Satan will encourage us through the desire for more money. The only way that God could get Balaam to not curse Israel was to get his attention huge time. He did this through his donkey seeing an angel. Balaam needed to know in no uncertain terms that he was not to curse, but to bless Israel.

Numbers 22: 31-35, “Then the Lord let Balaam see the angel standing there with his sword; and Balaam threw himself face downward on the ground. The angel demanded, ‘Why have you beaten your donkey three times like this? I have come to bar your way, because you should not be making this journey. But your donkey saw me and turned aside three times. If it hadn’t, I would have killed you and spared the donkey.’

Balaam answered, ‘I have sinned. I did not know that you were standing in the road to oppose me; but now if you reckon it is incorrect for me to go on, I will return home.’”

Because God used an animal to speak to Balaam today all of us have an opportunity to learn the difference between God leading us and being lead astray by Satan. Remember if the voice of the Holy Spirit condemns you, listen and you will choose the right path for your life.

We live in a world where we will learn the difference between excellent and evil whether we like it or not. This is the reason why there are terrible people in the world. This is the reason why we have fraud in the business world. This is the reason why people are enticed into falsifying reports so that people will invest in their business schemes.

In order to win against evil people we must hold onto God principles. ‘Like your neighbor as yourself’, will help you to do what is right. Pray and talk to Jesus Christ about everything. Don’t give into simple riches because in the end it can condemn you to never understanding what you are doing incorrect. Read your bible and listen to the animals in your life so they can lead you down paths to doing right.

Balaam did continue on his journey, but instead of cursing Israel he blessed them because God would not let Satan infect Israel and cause it to turn away from Him. During the take over of Moab, Balaam died with the evil people who had committed their ways to doing Satan’s will.

There are inspired tales of animals rescuing their masters when faced with natural disasters to health issues. Animals have become intertwined within the human culture mirroring the characteristics of compassion and unconditional like. It should become no surprise to anyone that they are one of the tiniest angels sent by God to help and aid human beings in their everyday lives.

It is a small known fact that W. D. Gann went to India and studied Indian Sidereal Astrology. In his notebooks we find sketches of astrological symbols on his charts; and in his memoirs, he discusses his journey to India. In fact, the well-known Gann wheel was first used by tea merchants in seventeenth century India. Gann also discussed the importance of using the starting date of when the first futures contract for a commodity started trading for predicting the future of that commodity. To my knowledge, there are very few individuals who use these starting dates to successfully time the markets even though my experience in using Indian Sidereal astrology has shown that these charts are invaluable.

Below is a brief introduction to Indian Sidereal Astrology, an overview of Indian time cycles and how they can be used, and a forecast through 2017 for the U.S. stock market based on this system.

The Western Zodiac vs. the Indian Zodiac

Indian astrology is over 5000 years ancient and has its foundation in ancient science. Parashara, a fantastic seer or ancient scientist, intuited the laws of space and time responsible for the evolution of human consciousness and recorded his findings in a book called the Brihat Hora Sastra.

The first major difference between Indian and Western astrology lies in the calculation of the longitude of the planets. Ancient Indian astrologers observed that the equinoxes and solstices went backward by one degree every 72 years, an astronomical phenomenon now known as precession. Over time this has resulted in a difference of slightly over 23 degrees between the tropical Zodiac, used by Western astrologers, and the sidereal Zodiac, used by Indian astrologers. In essence, the two systems differ in their choice of a zero point for Aries–the Western system uses the position of the spring equinox, while the Indian system uses a fixed star. Thus when the Sun is moving into Aries according to the Western system, it is still at 6 degrees Pisces in the Indian system. Planetary Periods: Beyond Transits

A dasha is a period of time during which one’s life is influenced or governed by a particular planet. For example, the shortest period, the Sun period, lasts six years, while the longest period, Venus, lasts twenty years. These cycles unfold in a fixed sequence and comprise 120 years before they repeat. The order of the cycles is:

Ketu (Moon’s South Node): 7 years

Venus: 20 years

Sun: 6 years

Moon: 10 years

Mars: 7 years

Rahu: (North Node) 18 years

Jupiter: 16 years

Saturn: 19 years

Mercury: 17 years.

Where the cycle starts is based on the exact position of the moon at the time of birth. For example, when soybeans started trading in 1936, the moon was in the constellation (nakshatra) of Orion, which is ruled by the planet Mars. Thus a sequential unfoldment of cycles started with a seven years Mars period followed by Rahu (North Node of Moon), 18 years, Jupiter 16 years, into its current Saturn period that lasts 20 years etc. If beans had begun trading a day later, then the cycle would have begun from the next constellation, which is ruled by Rahu, or the North Node of the moon. The number of degrees the moon has transited through a nakshatra will determine how much time is left in the initial cycle. Thus if the moon were in the final degree of the constellation, the initial cycle will start in the last section of the cycle. (Software is available for rapid computer calculation of these cycles–see references below.)

Within major cycles are sub-periods or sub-cycles that also unfold in a set sequential pattern. The sub-cycle starts with planet ruling the major cycle and then continues in sequence. For example, the current Saturn period for stocks started with a Saturn/Saturn period in 1998, and continued with a Saturn/Mercury period in August 2001 followed by a Saturn/Ketu period in 2004, etc. The major Saturn cycle will end in 2017 and then the U.S. stock market will go into a Mercury major period. In order to properly use the Indian time cycles and their smaller periods, one must have the exact time of the start of the first future’s contract of a commodity. Each minute that one is off can lead to changing the prediction low or high by about 4 days. O’Non and Remnick illustrate the importance of the exact time using an analogy from physics:

To launch a rocket ship to the moon, knowledge of the precise angle, time, and location of the launching on earth are necessary. If it is launched at a slightly different time and angle, it will miss by 30,000 to 40,000 miles.

I have had to travel to the archives of the Chicago Board of Trade and other major exchanges to verify the first tick starting time and have collected an nearly complete set of dates and times that I make available to participants in my advanced seminars or through my home study course on Vedic Financial Astrology (see references below). The challenge is that some of this data is very hard to get or was ruined as was the case for wheat and corn data due to the Chicago fire and New York exchanges merging and not keeping excellent data. It takes time to rectify the charts and make them useful. The simplest way to know the effects of a period is too look at past examples. Because we have 215 year of data on the U.S. stock market, and the complete unfoldment of a series of cycles is 120 years, we can go back to the period between 1878 and 1897 to study past analogues.

Application of the Indian Cycles to the US Stock Market

What is extraordinarily exciting about using dashas or Indian time cycles for market prediction is that it allows one to know the exact date that cycles change, to mark them, and to quantify whether they are strong ups, minor ups, strong downs, or sideways. If one studies the 215 year history of the stock market, and is familiar with the rules for predicting and interpreting the Indian dasha or time cycle system, the mysterious cycles which seem to govern stocks would no longer be a mystery. For example, by no accident the bull market that started in 1982 coincided with the beginning of a 16-year Jupiter period, which started in late August. In general then, this system predicted the stock market would continue to expand until 1998, since Jupiter is a “”bullish”" planet and is well placed in the natal chart of the May 17, 1792 stock market chart. Rises and falls within the major cycles are clarified by sub-periods, or antardasas. These sub-periods can either amplify or diminish the strength of the major period.

Within this 16-year period, the transits of Jupiter, its retrogradation and aspects to it are especially influential since Jupiter assumes the second most vital role in the NYSE chart next to the moon, the chart lord. The Jupiter period finished in 1998, when a 19-year Saturn period assumed the second-most vital role.

A recent study I did of the NYSE will clarify how the dashas can be of use to spot small- term and intermediate declines or rises. Certain combinations lead to very predictable outcomes. To get daily timing on the stock market, one needs examine four or five levels of dashas, or cycles, to break the larger 20- and 2-3-year periods down into 20- and 3-4- day periods. Amazingly, the cyclical combinations that are negative on the larger scale level will often prove negative on the smaller scale.

A comparison of the October-February 1987-88 fourth level cycles (Jupiter/Mercury/Venus/Rahu etc.) with the third level periods in 1901-1904 (Mercury/Venus/Rahu) reveals that the major lows coincide with a repetition of particular combinations. This principle can also be extended to sections of other cycles in other years. For example, note the following:

Venus/Rahu/Saturn: (8-28-29 to 2-17-30) Declined from high of 372.06 on 9-03-29 to a low of 230.07 on 10-29-29. Jupiter/Mercury/Venus/Rahu/Saturn (Dec 4, 1987). Signaled another major low and decline to 1747 on the Dow after being as high as 2051 following the crash.

Jupiter/Mercury/Venus/Venus/Rahu (October 19, 1987) The third level Venus period did contribute to the direction of the decline in combination with a number of bearish oppositions, the return to an eclipsed constellation, and the sidereal transit of Uranus into Sagittarius. This one example indicates how the Venus/Rahu combination can be used to signal a sharp decline if it occurs in a particular combination.

This particular Venus/Rahu combination is only one of many combinations that one can mark, and historically study. Other combinations are bullish, such as when the sequence unfolds from a Sun period into a Moon period and onto a Mars period. For example, the stock market’s last major Moon Period went from August 1947-August 1957. During that time the Dow went from 179.74 to 492.32, a gain of over 200%. During smaller moon cycles within larger periods, such as the Mars/Moon period from Jan 21, 1964 to August 21, 1964 the market climbed from 776 to 838. And in the Rahu/Moon period from Jan 31, 1980 to July 31, 1981, the Dow climbed from 875 to 935. Even on the third level we can usually count on a rally during a moon period, such as the Jupiter/Mercury/Moon period from April 4, 1988 to June 13, 1988. We saw a surprise rally that started in late May and took the Dow from 2000 at the beginning of the period to nearly 2200 by the end of the period.

From the above examples, one can see the value of being able to mark and quantify the cycles in order to predict the magnitude of the go. As many cycle analysts know, one can often find major cycle lows and entry point but still not have any thought how large the go is going to be. The Indian time cycle analysis is a genuine solution to forecasting because it can predict the future, not just suggest it from the past.

Future of the US Stock Market Based on Indian Cycles into 2017

A 19-year lackluster Saturn period in 1998-2017 does not have the bullish energy that we have seen in the Jupiter Period from 1982-1998. Consequently, the market will not go straight up nor will it go straight down–and it turns out that Venus periods have the largest percentage losses. As we saw in the 18 year Rahu period from August 1964 to August 1982, the market can go net sideways in relatively narrow price bands over many years.

There is an approximate high into June 9, 2007 followed by a sharp decline into the week of Oct. 22, 2007 with a lower low due into about the third week of April 2008. We are still watching patterns to translate this into price movement.

There appears to be a recovery rally into late May 2010, then a sharp fall into Dec. 2010, a recovery toward the highs into Jan. 2013 and a major decline into 2013 that is one of the lowest points in the whole period, a recovery into August 2015 and then a sharp fall into the end of the period, which makes new lows into April 2017. Hence the periods to be long stocks appear to be Feb.-June 2007; April 2008 to May 2010 and Dec. 2010 to Jan. 2013. We adjust these directional indicators using Elliott Wave pattern analysis to predict price. There appears enough upward momentum in the current cycle to take stocks much higher into the June 2007 cycle high.

Gann reminded us that we have to take everything we know and apply it to our forecasts. Indian Time cycles are one tool. In our newsletter, we combine it with Elliott wave pattern analysis, minor astrological timing from planetary aspects, and five other proprietary cyclical techniques as well as technical analysis.

Back in 1990 and 1994, when everyone was bearish about stocks, we predicted DOW prices well over 7000 into 1998-2000 based on our dasha cycle models.

Conclusion

Anyone attempting to uncover the mysterious laws of nature that underlie the commodity and stock markets will be rewarded and intrigued by the depths of Indian astrology. The study of Indian astrology leads not only to knowledge of economic laws, but ultimately to knowledge of the self. Understanding Indian cycles and transits is as vital for trading successfully as a excellent timing system. A combination of the two is astoundingly useful and leads to a profound appreciation of the order of natural law. While no astrological system should be used 100% to time market entries and exits, using both astrological and technical signals can certainly stack the odds in one’s favor.”

Gemini pets are curious, friendly and loaded with energy. These dogs may bark a lot. If possible, get a playmate for these animals as they despise to be alone. They are quick learners and can be trained well. Remember to always keep the door shut, or they will be off in a flash, exploring and looking for new friends. With both people and other animals, Gemini pets rarely have favorites. They just like the company of everyone.

CANCER (June 22 – July 22)

These small pets are very sensitive creatures and despise to be upset. They do not like loud noise or yelling. They are easily irritated by others and thrive on a cool and peaceful environment. Any change in their routine, or if a weirder is in the house, can cause them to retreat and be gone for hours and even days. Cancer pets are cautious about meeting new people. Once they trust you, though, you’ve made a friend for life. They do not like sharing the home with any other animals, as they want your undivided attention. They do not like to be left alone, and can tend to become a bit destructive if left alone for too long.

LEO (July 23 – Aug 22)

Your Leo pets feel as if they are King or Queen of the Castle. They go around with Royal Grace. They like a excellent adventure and will roam as far as you will let them. They are born leaders and may soon have a pack of friends following them. They are quite curious and consider nothing off limits, which is a fitting attitude for King or Queen Of The Jungle. Leo animals like children and make perfect pets. They are very protective and would gladly give their lives for yours. Leo pets have a long memory and tend to have a long life span. Treat them kindly and they will remain friends for life.

VIRGO (Aug 23- Sep 22)

Virgo pets are wonderful companions and make fantastic friends. A sixth sense lets them know when you are miserable or sick, and they are always there to comfort you. They are shy animals, preferring their own company, and are content to play by themselves. They are reserve and won’t show their affections easily. Don’t expect your Virgo pet to come running to you when you get home. They will gladly spend entire evenings lying at your feet or resting their head on your lap. They are fussy eaters.

LIBRA (Sep 23- Oct 22)

Libra pets are easygoing and like lots of attention. Like the scales of justice that represents this sign, these pets divide their attention equally among all members of the family. They make wonderful companions and despise to be left alone. These pets like excellent food and soft music. Place music on when you leave home and they will remain mild mannered with a gentle disposition. They can be stubborn at times, and may disappear to sulk. Libra’s will eat just about anything, combine this with a tendency to be bone idle, and they can place on a lot of extra weight. Be sure to give them plenty of exercise.

SCORPIO (Oct 23- Nov 21)

Scorpio pets are extremely loyal. Kindness shown to these animals at an early age will come back to you for the rest of their pet life. If they are mistreated early in life, gaining their trust back will be a long and involved process. They tend to snap or nip if they have been mistreated. Scorpio pets are intimidating to other animals. Rarely will they back down from a confrontation. They are full of pent up energy and need to run around a lot to release it. Keep a close watch on them, but, as they are possessive and have a tendency to fight.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Sagittarius pets are the fun loving clowns of the animal world, and they are always keen to please. They like the outdoors, so be sure to give them plenty of room to roam. If you keep them inside for long periods of time, you may tend to break their spirit. They are intelligent animals but may seem to lack common sense. When they get over excited they become quite forgetful. They are one of the most loving pets in the Zodiac, so expect a face full of wet kisses when you walk through the door. As they tend to be forgetful, you must be firm when you discipline these animals. They will respond well.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Capricorn pets stay young forever and tend to act like small puppies or kittens well into ancient age. They have endless endurance and will play happily hours on end. They make the best playmates for children. They can be temperamental and tend to sulk if they don’t get their way. Be patient when training these pets as they tend to be slow learners. These pets are more than loyal to the family. They are always determined to please and your patience will be well rewarded.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20- Feb 18)

They are truly the comedians of the Zodiac. They are gentle and loving with children and will bark or meow just to hear the sound of their own voices. They are extremely intelligent and unbelievably brained. You need lots of patience when you train them. They do not obey orders easily and the more you push them, the deeper they will place their paws into the ground and refuse to budge. Sometimes these pets don’t want to be cuddled or petted, but remain aloof. Aquarius pets are curious and inquisitive and will literally push their noses into everything.

PISCES (Feb 19- Mar 20)

Piscean pets are the gentle, peace loving pets that despise shouting and fighting. They are sensitive to your moods and will plant themselves securely at your side if you are sick and upset. If your Pisces pet needs discipline, be very careful how you go about it. They tend to be quite intuitive and can sense when you are mad or upset. They don’t need a lot of wide, open space and are excellent pets for people living in apartments. They also like music.
