The solar system, as a scientific basis of astrology, influences the zodiac signs. As a matter a fact, every sign of the zodiac (I will refer further to the European zodiac) has a ruling planet that gives certain characteristics to the natives of the sign. As a reiteration of the macro cosmos inside the micro cosmos, the zodiacal system is tied to the existence and evolution of the stars and planets in such a way that, by only knowing how to look at the stars and how to interpret certain aspects, you can achieve a higher level of knowledge about yourself and your human surroundings.

As the planets slowly go along the zodiac each day, they pass through the different houses of your natal horoscope and make different aspects with the positions of your natal planets. These transiting planets energize the latent potentials promised by your natal horoscope, and trigger the behavior and events which then become a part of your daily experience.

The Greek word ‘horoskopos’ is believed to be the base from which the modern word horoscope has been derived. It generally refers to a diagram or pictorial depiction that displays the position of the Sun, moon and the other planets of the solar system. Horoscopes play a significant part in the astrological calculations and are held in very high regard in several communities of the world even today. Especially in matters like birth, marriage and death, astrological interpretation of this chart is referred to and followed religiously as well.
